yo what's good new to this forum n seems like i came to the right one can someone hlep me 90 honda accord lx f22a1 iwould like to kno how good it the motor cause i have been told that the bottom end is the shit n the C/R is low as hell so what is so good bout this motor now i have find alot of prats for it n just for that block the web site is f22parts.com get back at me thanks .

The F22a1 sucks balls. It puts out the same power as a D-series 1.6 liter engine (125 hp) It has low compression (8.8:1)

It is also a bad candidate for boost and/or NA tuning. The internals are weak, the cylinder walls are thin, and the head flows like shit.

But you want a supercharger and ITBs and you want to remain NA?

Read a book. Google. Do something.

If you have a supercharger you have forced induction.

You can't have ITBs and a supercharger!! Its not possible unless you have 4 fucking superchargers!!

-That's incorrect; the only head that rivals the F22A's flow is the K20A and possibly F20C. Yes, it outflows the B-series heads. As far as internal strength go, that's the correct assumption though I'm not sure about the sleeves.

- Adding a SC makes it FI.

-You can have ITB's and a supercharger: the ITB's would just need to be hooked up to a common plenum as seen in many stock-ITB motors like the Skylines, blacktop 4AGEs(Corolla I guess), BMWs, etc. Easier with a centrifugal, but still possible with a roots, but you'd need a BOV for roots too since the throttle plate will be located between the engine and SC.
