hello everyone.. im new in posting but not to the forums... and i have fairly adequate about hondas and compatibility and obd etc...

for reference, i drive a 94 civic ex.... and by luck, i purchased a 90 4 door integra from a longtime friend for 500 bucks... inside is a b17...

i know that the motor bolts in and whatnot, and that the cable trans is no good to me, so i'll just get me a hydro one later...

i also know that the motor is obd1 from the factory, but i'm looking at the harness and I see obd0 injectors because the plugs by the driver shock tower has a factory resistor box..

would i be able to just use my old civic ex engine harness for the engine..?? or would i have to find an integra obd1 harness..??

anymore info on the b17 would be good too if any of you have some!!! thanks!!!

the b17 is a obd1 motor, just use your stock harness and run a few extra wires for vtec, but you will also need to convert the b17 back to obd1, injectors and a dizzy

If it is OBD1 then why would you have to convert it back to OBD1 makes no sence

Da chassis integra gsrs were only offered for the 92 and 93 model years and therefore are all obd1. Only 90-91 integras were obd0. Most likely the person who swapped the engine into the 90 4 door converted some of the plugs to obd0. However, the motor does not really have an plugs that need to be converted, the harness is part of the car and attaches to the motor not part of the motor and attached to the car. The only problem with wiring should be the distributor because this had to be converted to obd0 if the car was running obd0 electronics.

Injectors are same for obd0 and obd1 just different color plugs and the plugs are part of the harness not the motor.
its been a while but i could have bet they where diff,. i could be wrong tho its been a few years,,but i still think there diff
