Ok, engine is on it's way (F22B dohc). I got it from venus-auto.com. They seem to be legit people and very knowlegeable. I just need a quick rundown of parts needed to complete the swap in as short a time as necessary. H23 PS hose. Not too sure about the ecu yet.....any suggestions? It's gonna...
Yes, it is running a OBD2 Integra LS ecu. He also has a GSR ecu. Not too sure what year tho. I'll see what happens when we get the O2 sensors wired up and take it from there..........thanx a bunch guys!! :)
Well, I'm not too sure where to look for info on what needs to go where? I don't have any manuals available except Chilton books. We don't have the good ones here........ I am at my wits end. Are there sensors missing from the OBD2 ecu that's not there on the OBD1 engine? All of the sensors on...
Well, I'm still fairly new to the Honda scene myself but if you're getting a solid CEl light when you run Diag. to pull codes, it sounds like a bad ecu maybe? See if maybe you can swap the ecu for another one and see if that helps.
It idles smoothly, no misfiring until you start to get on it. I edited my post just earlier and the donor engine is a OBD1 engine from a 1994 Integra LS. Are the sensors different from OBD1 to OBD2?
Hey guys, my buddy and I swapped in a 1.8L LS non VTEC dohc engine into his '98 EK hatch. We are using a Civic Si harness of the same year and using the LS ecu. It's throwing several codes and 2 of them I can account for because it has no O2 sensors hooked up yet. Here's the codes I pulled from...
Ok guys. I have done some searching/looking around and I decided to go F22B dohc route. I found a great deal on one for $350 (long block). What I have learned is that the cams from a H23 will swap between them. What about the external stuff on this engine like header/accessory mounts/distr. and...
Ok, I can't get the engine until Monday and I came across another engine possibility. F20A on ebay for $600 w/free shipping. Would this be better than a sohc F22A6? Would my sohc ECU still run it as well?
Does any one make aftermarket pistons/rods/cam for the F22? I looked at Gude and am not really impressed by the prospect of a regrind although if that's all there is, I guess that's gonna have to do. I know the H22 n/a will pull harder higher than the F22, but the F22 boosted won't need to rev...
Thanx for the input Tab. I don't plan on spinning it any faster than the 6200rpm shift point anyways. That's where the trans shifts itself all the time at WOT. The rev limiter is 6500rmp too. So I think I should be ok. I already know I'm gonna have to relocate the batt to the trunk to make room...
That's what I was considering was a T3/T4 hybrid. Smaller turbine housing to spool up a bit quicker and a bigger compressor housing to flow a bit more air if need be.
What would you say is the max psi for a street driven F22 series? I was shooting for 10 psi on pump gas and a good tune. I'll keep the auto in there long enough until I get me a 5spd to swap in it.
Well that kinda sux ass. The H22A is the best powerplant for a swap for my year Accord. It's a shitload of hassle to swap a B series or K series. Mahle pistons aren't that bad. SVT Cobras come with them and people have run 18+ psi with no failures? But yeah, I priced out a Procharger C1...
ok guys, I really appreciate the help with the H22 info, but I found a sweet ass deal on another F22A6 here locally. It has less than 80K miles and looks like brand new. The car is a 1992 EX 4dr and was rear ended quite badly. I'm getting the complete long block for $400. That's a seal in my...
