I would take any of the electrical connections appart and spray with electronic cleaner. Also, I would check your ignitor inside the dizzy. They can die if shorted from what I hear. Should be able to google the instructions on how to test the ignitor. Good luck!

I think the ecu error code will only clear if you remove power from the ecu for a while. You can just take the negative battery cable off for ten minutes. Then if you get the cel again, read the code and go from there. I would clear the codes and then see if you get another error code.

ok... took new dizzy & ecu off, put on old... same problem. put new dizzy and ecu back on... timing issue gone. able to correctly set the timing. BUT......... after warmup I can take off and hit 5 or 6k rpm no problem ... lots of power slow down and do it again it falls around 4k ... doesn't...

I have a standard timing light, flashing only. I know the different timing marks. I have the cam set to the pointer on the inside of the cover while the crank is at TDC ... the lone white mark not any of the 3 marks.
