Well i looked for the year my old engine has 98 and my new one has 99. So if thats the year i guess it doesn't matter. But still one thing can i swap the valve covers with no issue?
Hey everyone I need help answering some questions. It might get complicated. So i uploaded some pictures to help things out. First pic is JDM dist. Second is USDM. Third pic is replacement engine. Fourth pic is what I have in my car now. Hence the question about the valve cover and so on.

or maybe they put in some type of gasket repair crap in it like stop leak and its only a matter of time before you get rod knock from the coolant that got into the oil... just a thought:confused:
Hey guys just wondering if $700 is a fair price for a used 95 b18b1 for my hatch. I already have a b18b1 in it but it has a rod knock so I'm going to pull it out and rebuild that one.
i just got done putting a new head gasket on my b18b1 in my e.g. Started the car, wont hold idle. I give it some gas to make it stay on, CEL comes on< CODE 14. Someone please help what can it be?:(
I am removing my head to get to the head gasket. I have already removed the camshaft sprockets. Do I have to loosen the valve adjusters? please help...
i think as long as you have all the necessary emission controls of the 95 engine and matching ecu you should be able to take it to a ref. for inspection
