i just swapped my d16z6 out of my 93 coupe and i put a d15bvtec in it and when it started as soon as i let off the clutch it makes a loud nasty rattling sound.. then when i press on the clutch it stays quiet.. and another thing my vtec is not working.. can it be that the solenoid doesnt work...

i have a p28 also but my vtec with the d16z6 was 4500..?? thats wierd that must mean my ecu was chipped already?? why would it be stronger if it kick in later. instead of before like. u know earlier...

i just recently got a d15b vtec.. the vti engine. and about to swap it but just wanted to know how this engine performs.. i had a jdm gsr full swap comin but never got here so i just went with the jdm d15 with about 40k miles.. i already have a a full magnaflow 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust on my 93...

i am about to swap my d16z6 to a d15b from hmotorsonline if you guys can go to the website and look at the engine.. it is a jdm vti engine... is it the same as the us d16z6.. or is it different.. because i have heard and read somewhere it is the same just different code. ??

ok thanks so then the engine itself will mount right up stock mounts and everything but the only problem that there will be, taking into consideration that it is a obd2, will be the ecu ... and you are saying to get a obd1 p72 or a chipped p28?? is there any way to tell if the engine is obd 1...
