I bought the sensor that goes into the head new from the parts store. i got the part that clips on that from pick n pull off an 88 integra and spliced it to the gauge. The temp gauge and cluster is stock.
what does ECT stand for? Does anyone know if the check engine light (code 6) is caused by the one wire or two wire sensor? and i am pretty sure the gauge is bad because i grounded right where the wire comes out of the gauge cluster and nothing happened.
ecu code 6
It is putting out a code 6. The coolant temp code. Is that because of the single wire temp sensor that goes to my gauge, or the double wire sensor that goes to my ecu? I already replaced the single wire sensor and ran a new wire to the gauge cluster, but the temp gauge still...
My temperature Guage is not working on my 88 crx si. It moves around at random and pauses at places for a while and then moves again. i grounded the green and yellow wire for the temperature guage and it moved a little but did not go all the way to one side. It is also causing a chech engine...
gauge still not working
The temp sensor for the ecu seems to be working, but the temp gauge still isn't working. i followed the wire and ran a new one from where it enters the engine bay, but the gauge isn't working, the needle moves around at random and stays there for a while then moves...
I just got an 88 crx si and the wiring is all messed up and missing. I need to wire the temperature sensors for the gauge in the dash and the one for the ecu. I got the fittings that clips on the the sensors on the head from an 88 integra. The wire colors do not match up. Can anyone tell me...
I would like to do it for less money than that, can i pick and pull the axle and shift linkages, and make custom motor mounts? For the wiring, will i basically transfer everything straight over from the integra? What transmission is best to use?
thanks for the help.
I have an 84 civic crx with a bad motor. I am not sure which model it is, it is not the si. I also have a totaled 94 integra ls. I would like to put the motor into the crx if it is not too difficult, or require too many other parts. i am on a budget and would like to get it done for...
