Hey guys, I'm in the middle of changing my water pump/timing belt on my 93 Civic. But I can't get the crank pulley bolt off. I have air and an ingersoll rand impact gun that's supposed to make 780 ft lbs that isn't touching it. I've taken the starter off and tried jamming a big screwdriver...

You can take your head to a machine shop and they can pressure test it for cracks, and let you know if it's any good. Get it resurfaced while you're at it if it is any good. You could of cracked a cylinder as well, but I doubt it.

Could be a vacuum leak. I'd also take a look at your IAC, and PCV valves and the fast idle valve. May need to adjust your idle. Also, if a car is low on coolant it can get that funky idle, and be dumping extra fuel in. Phil

My stock muffler is rusted. I patched it up, but I found a good condition exhaust for sale used and thought I'd get it, but I didn't realize the CX pipe was so much smaller, so I think I'm going to look around elsewhere. Thanks guys, Phil
