isnt the p75 ecu obd 1? if it is depending on where you live you may have emissions issues because your car is obd2 and would have to be converted to obd1. my state plugs right into 96 and up vehicles therefore forcing me to go obd2 so i would pass inspection
i have been told that teg trailing arms and wonderful disc brake setups bolt right in just use the tegs hoses and cables. u dont have to change out your master or proportioning vlv. as far as the abs thing are you trying to use the abs sys? if you are then i wouldnt know where to start if your...
ok ill try cleaning the iacv i kinda ruled that out cause i figured that would throw a cel (had problems w/ iacv wiring when i swapped motors but got that solved thanks to this site!) thanks again
swaped a b16a2 OBD2 into my 98 civic HX. all is well with the car. car runs great but it seems that when you come to a stop sign after driving the idle stays up around 2.5 to 3000 rpm's for a few seconds before dropping back down to normal. no codes and no other issues with the drivability of...
if you wanna keep the car obd2 then yes this is yor best bet. be sure you get the p2t ecu from the si as well because the ecu plugs are different than any other obd2 set up. if you get the motor, trans, harness and ecu it will be essentionally be a plug/play affair...
you guys are good it is engaging at 5500 and it redlines at 8000 thank you for all your help this forum has been so much help.now that all is running properly time for some mods hmmmmmmmm whats first............
cool thanks im used to the old d-16 that was like 7200. i was lifting around there with the new motor and it seemed like the vtec just kicked in as i was lifting
whats the rev limit on a obd2 b16? my ecu is a obd2 p30 from a 96 del-sol. the ecu & engine are stock. dont wanna hammer it to find out.......... not yet anyway lol!:D
if it is throwing a code (cel) the ecu goes into a limp mode and usually will only run systems absolutley nessesary to keep the car running.that doesnt include vtec
mine did the saeme thing and the valve seals were bad. only smoke when the v-tech engaged. all i can advise is do a compression test and if that all looks good then you are more then likely looking at bad valve seals. good luck
thanks just found that out. thanks for the quick response. Everything else seems to be working as it should but just in case is there anything else i should keep an eye out for? anyone else do a swap like this and have any major issues?
the back up fuse in the engine compartment fuse box its a 7.5 amp fuse labelled as back up is proibabl;y burned out. check that out first. it controls the coltage to the ECU and the ELD unit which would make the lights flash
