    Crx b16 problems

The lack of back pressure won't cause your power problem. This seems obvious, but are you sure you have your plug wires in the proper firing order? We did our B16A swap on Saturday and that was one of our issues. It's easy enough to get them mixed up. Check the easy things first! Brian

    B16 Swap Glitching

Fuel pressure is OK. Any other suggestions? I'm beginning to suspect the main relay or an intermittent short somewhere. Brian

    B16 Swap Glitching

Yes I can - I'm heading back to our shop with the car tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion! Brian

    B16 Swap Glitching

That's exactly what it feels like. Got the swap done in one long day today. Everything checks-out except for a glitching (almost like a severe miss) when the car is under load. It will not do it when parked and revving - only when moving. There is also the distinct sound of a relay clicking from...

    miata rims

Increasing the center bore would be preferable, but if you are using the thinnest spacers possible and still have sufficient wheel stud showing through, then you'll be fine, even for hard driving. Brian

    Suspension setup

Adjustability is always nice. I have the Koni yellows that Neuspeed sells (shorter shock) and Neuspeed race springs. I'm glad I have the little bit of adjustability that comes with the Konis since I'll be installing a B16A in the next few weeks. As for the sleeve-type coil-overs, I wouldn't even...

    bigass hoodscoop

Ram air did nothing for the Camaro SS, except in the high RPM range. According to Car & Driver, it didn't make it any faster in the quarter - just looked "cool". It ain't gonna do nothin' on a Honda. Stick to REAL power adders. Get some cams, a better intake manifold, run a (wet) 50-shot of...

    CRX Exhaust

If you can find one on special, I really like our GReddy cat-back (they're over $500 normally.) Not knocking them, but I've never liked Thermal - they tend to sound raspy. The Dynomax option is a good one too. Brian

I told you this was a sweet rex!

WHich issue of Super Street? I never buy that one so I want to make sure I get the correct month. Thanks, Brian

    CNS Motors?

Actually, we use them as one of our suppliers for engines at our shop. I just ordered my B16A from them, and it's one of the cleanest, most complete engines we've ever received. The harness is complete (not hacked at all), it has the injector resistor box, the TPS is not broken, and there are no...

    EG I just painted..

That's a very nice, clean car. The lip looks good - it ain't some gawdy kit, it's just a lip. Like the wheels, and the engine bay is very clean. Good job, man! Brian

Black Widow II SE Wide Body for 89 CRX

With a wide body kit you're going to NEED at least 17" wheels. The car will look horrible if you use smaller wheels - you have to keep proportions in mind. I have 18" wheels on my wife's CRX with a good amount of lowering, so 17s will be NO problem. Keep in mind as well that you're either going...

    Big wheels

First, I don't know of many hardcore ricers in my area that run 18s - they can't afford them. They're all running cheap-ass stock wheels without covers, or two aftermarket wheels in the rear and two stockers in the front. As for the rubbing, I've got 18s on my wife's CRX with 2.5" of drop in...
