i have searched google, and all i get is that people are using ARP head bolts, but they are saying with ones they are using. That i why i asked, thinking you guys would be a little more help.

Quick question, does anyone know what axles and throttle cable i need for this swap? I am building the engine now, but am trying to get all my shopping done early. It is a B18B block, B16a3 head, 94 GSR tranny. I figured i needed the Teg axles and B16 throttle cable, but i am not 100% sure...

i agree with E_SolSi's answer. As long as the build was done right, with no cut corners, then the block should last you a long time. The people that take the parts to a shop that is not familiar with the Ls/Vtec build, are the ones saying they are unreliable.

Hey all, does anyone know that part number for the correct set of ARP head bolts for a LS/Vtec swap? I am in the process of the build, and ARP won't e-mail me back with the correct set to use. If any one knows, that would be great! L8TER!

thanks everyone for the quick reply. I will be hunting for a tranny this weekend. The only downside i have heard about the LS tranny is that the syncros are usually really weak. I am not sure if this is true or not, i saw it posted on the net somewhere.
