Then it's just estimating the date of birth/issue, which will give you a range, after that it's just guessing until you get it right. They're using a brute-force attack on something that isn't susceptible to a brute force attack. lol.
I know someone whose ssn repeats itself. First four and last four are the same. Heh.
I've had to give mine out to so many different creditors and jobs that I have mine memorized, like I do my drivers license number (around here at least you gotta put that on a check when you order a pizza for delivery).
