Hello,

I just swaped in a B16A engine into my 99 Civic and when i was about to hook up the ecu i ran into a problem, the wire harness from the engine has 3 connectors but there is another one left over from the D16 that was in there before.

AVy0o

The forth connector is (the extra one) has the following wires:

My question is.. is there an adapter i can buy or a guide on that wire to cut and splice in?

If there's any information I left out that you may need to help let me know!:)

Thanks

the one that i have is OBD2A not B from what I've seen online the OBD2B harness only takes in 3 connectors unless I'm mistaken

My 99 civic ex has two plugs on the engine harness and one plug from the cabin harness all three plug into the ecu.

If i look up the pin outs of an obd2b to obd2a conversion harness and just splice the wires in from the other connector would that work? If not should i use my d16y8 harness and if i do what kind of modifications will i have to do to the harness?

Thanks:)
