Swapper for life!
So I just recently "re-purchased" my 92 civic with the intention that I would immediately swap an ls B18B1 in the car (the D15 is having some serious issues). I already had the motor sitting around, so once I got the car yesterday, I scrounged around and ordered the tranny (5sp), flywheel, clutch, mounts, linkage, and other odds and ends. Well, I wasn't really thinking about it at the time, but the motor is out of an automatic. Originally I figured that I would just throw a flywheel on there and then mate up the tranny and everyone would be happy. Well, now it got me thinking, and that's why I'm bringing this up with you guys. Am I going to run into any issues using the Auto motor? I went to get a throttle body gasket and realized they were different, and it got me worrying.
I noticed on the passenger side of the engine harness that came with the motor there are 4 plugs to mate up with plugs going into the car, where as my civic only has 3. Also, while I'm sure the ECU is a P75, is it going to matter if it's from an auto? If I get a P75 that's for a manual tranny, will I need to replace the engine harness too? and in all honesty, can I just use the harness off the D15 and the computer too? or if not the computer, at least the harness?
I'm really sorry if this issue has been previously addressed, I just figured it would be a confusing subject to try and run a search on. thanks for the help guys.
