Has anyone done this? I just lost compression in two cylinder's on the B18a i have in right now 1. 199psi 2. 121psi 3. 119psi 4. 198psi so i pickup a B16a short block for cheap and a B18c1 P72-2 head off a 97 GSR to replace my dieing b18a for right now.So back to the main question has any anyone done this combo?

I'm not sure exactly what info/answer you're looking for but it's been done before. Works out fine. Nothing special you need to do to make this work...

The answer i was looking for how the B16a perform be with the P72 GSR head & cams? I used a B-Series Compression Calculator and i said the Static Comp Ratio is 10.54:1 and the stock B16a is 10.2:1 so i got a bump there and the P72 cams have a little more lift then the b16a cams .5mm on the intake and .4mm on the exhaust and i got bit more lift here so i am hoping to get little more out of it by doing this combo untel tax time then i going to buy a B18c1 or 5 replace it.

You get the bump in compression because of the smaller combustion chambers of the GSR head. The cams do help some but it's nothing to write home to about. Overall performance wise, you might notice a little more power but it's not going to be as much as you'd expect...

Was the head a straigh swap with upgraded after market parts? I got a b18c1 complete engine and I wanna put the head on my b16a2. What did you do to make it work?
