CAI for turbo

Everyone knows those gay CAI on ebay that simulate an intercooler. I was wondering if this could be used for a real intercooler. buy it on ebay ~80 sell the filter to some ricer for ~30, piping that is damn near close to fitting my intercooler for about 50 with no cutting or welding (except BOV) good idea? comments please!!

You are thinking of buying a CAI to use it solely for a charge pipe?

I wouldn't do it...get piping from jcwhitney. I got all of mine for 70 shipped

The piece you are thinking of can be had for like 18 bucks plus a 5 dollar weld from a muffler shop...grind the weld down, paint the pipe and you're set

yeah, what he said. plus, chances are the cai piping will be too big. ou don't want to run a 3" charge pipe unless you're making 600 whp
