Can you freeze shaving cream

someone told me once if you freeze a large can of barbasol shaving cream you can remove the container and have a brick of shaving cream. The idea goes that you then put the brick in a mailbox, someone's car trunk, ect. When it thaws it expands to it's much larger liquidish form.

anyone know if this works?

Yeah it works, I've heard of it done in a car before.


I don't know how it scientifically works though. My assumption would be it thaws and the chemicals in the cream cause it to expand.

be careful of the aerosol when you cut it open though. i guess just hold open the nozzle so it doesn't explode.

The theory behind it from what I read is that its the heat that makes the foam exspand. So it being frozen then thawed it grows. Get Nick is right that damn aerosol will get you every time.

Yes it works. We hid like 90 cans of it arround our high school on the last day of school and after lunch there was foam pouring from the ceiling tiles in some spots
