I am just wondering if any of you have heard about cf hoods and panels being dangerous. My bro is an autobody tech and he said that he read an article where someone was decapitated by their hood (no crumple zones).
who cares? i mean really... if your going fast enough for your cf hood to go through your windshield and cut your head off you would prolly die if you had a reg hood.
ive heard of it happening in accidents as low as 25 mph
CF is very rigid... it doesnt bend or crumple like steel does, or shatter like fiber glass does
some hoods are designed with a weak point now so they will bend or break in the event of an accident
