D15B7 to B18B1

    ok i have a 1992 honda dx and i was ondering if i could swap the d15b7 engine out for the b18b1.. ithink it will ft but i dk if the b18 will bolt onto the d15 tranny... could someone help me out?

    Yeah the b18b1 will fit i with the b18 mounts and shift linkage but the d15 tranny won't bolt on.

    yup^^^


    the B18b is a bolt on. Easy swap. You will also need a obd1 ecu in order for the motor to run properly.
    and NO a D SERIES tranny will not bolt on to your b series motor.

    ok so i have to get a ecu i understand.. but what transmission to i get if i want it ot be manual s80 or y80

    any b series will fit but a b20 prelude but get a hydrolic b series you could get a cable one if you like but you will have to get a conversion kit for the tranny

    no no no lol,, thats the only b series that will not fit

    ooo k thanks that helps.. but do u know a website i could go look at engines and trannys.. bc i cant seem to find the tranny i found the engine for $650 Plus s/h but the tranny is nowhere to be found

    im not sure of a place that sell trannys only you might could try ebay motors but your always taking a chance with ebay

    AnY b series hydro tranny should work.

    b18b, b18c1, b18c5, b16 etc.

    Check out the advertisers on this website. You can also search on the classified section to see if anyone has one for sale.

    try your local junk yard...............you should be able to find one close to you and not pay for shipping
