with that rich chocolately cluster fuck of wires i think it's pretty obvious why the car isn't running. even if you got it started i wouldn't dare take it anywhere besides out of the garage as a fire precaution.

you seriously need to get yourself another complete and unfucked with cabin and engine harness if you have any hope of this car starting or being reliable in the future.

It dosent look completly fucked up with time this car could look and run quite well you just have to know what you are doing and what parts to buy. But obv you dont have a full undersatnding of what you need to do but you will eventually figure it out. I am curently working on a 97 civic coupe and i am building it from the ground up so i know how fusterating cars can be if you need help contact me and ill see what i can do to help you

are you on coke or something? if you can't see that this is a fire hazard and unsafe to drive then i don't know how to explain that to you. i'm trying to help him not die in a blaze of glory. you however are effectively saying he should not purchase a new harness and stick with the rats nest that he currently has to work with. you're an idiot. whether his car might look nice or run well has nothing to do with the current and only problem i'm addressing at this point in time.

ninja edit: lmao. first you say it is an accident waiting to happen because of the harness. Then you say what i'm saying is wrong? maybe you really are retarded.. if so, i'm sorry. no, just kidding i'm not.

i "obv" don't have a full "undersatnding" of what now? holy shit are you capable of forming a sentence there special ed?

and yep i definitely don't know how "fusterating" cars can be. clearly you have more first-hand experience than i do [IMG]

ninja edit 2: in the event that the above comment was intended for OP.. then you fail at indicating who the message was directed towards.

Maybe before you guys get all mad at each other .....i dont plan on taking this car out immediately i just want to get the thing started so i can get on with wrapping the harness up and fixing the ecu plugs i had originally thought it was a problem with motor harness thats why i rewired it entirely. i have a shit ton of diagrams so i might just be overlooking something im not sure i checked all my grounds for motor and harness. Also i did completely rebuild this car and motor on a budget so give me a break this is my first Honda. ^.^

and reliability is expected to be more toward the motor as opposed to the wiring harness bud. cause 1st im not running any codes which tells me most of the wiring is right also when i unplug sensors it runs the right codes. a new harness isnt going to solve this. i am gonna swap out this fuel pump with a spare one from my donor DA.

yeah that guy didnt do shit to help you besides tell you that you need a fresh harness and correct everyones spelling errors and insult you by calling you a coke head. You went out of your way to take a video and show him exactly what was goin on and mister 1,000 plus posts who seems to help everyone else couldnt do shit for you when you basically put him in your garage. and why would he care if it bursts in flames, its not his car. who pissed in his Wheaties? i honestly would, and id laugh in his face after he ate pissed drenched cereal. :asshat:

Whatever. now that i got that outta my way...

Although you dont have any codes and it does seem to wanna start, he unfortunately might be right. you could be better off buyin a new harness, but i dont doubt your ability to use what u have in front of you. Ive seen way worse "rich chocolately cluster fuck of wires" [HA]. i unfortunately cant help too much cause im a body guy, but if u can check the fuel pressure that could cross out a possible problem. and maybe even check vacuum lines. but like u said u probably over looked something so you may have to start from point a and go over everything youve done. hope u get it going. good luck and btw the color of the car is nice.

i wasn't talking to op, i quite clearly quoted somebody else. it's obvious op needs a new harness, SRPRO for no logical reason disagreed with that. how can anyone be expected to diagnose one problem when an underlying one is clearly more pressing of an issue. that's like taking your car to the tuner with a spun rod bearing and you tell them to try and tune it anyway. not going to happen.

OP, you have no codes and you say you've ruled out timing and spark. we can assume you have fuel pressure but you'll have to check to confirm that. if in fact you have those 3 things, and no codes, one would have to presume that the engine should be running. since it is not this also would lead me to believe the problem is elsewhere. we are not there and only know what you tell us. i think logically at this point the wire harness would be the next thing to try and rule out of the equation.

i believe he was indicating the OP.

you are going to make it a point to badmouth a guy, then agree completely with what he stated? doesnt make sense.

Im going to say this, all of you need to learn to ease up. theres no reason for jumping off the deep end. and theres no reason to get angry with such a mediocre posting.
if you dont agree with what one person says, learn to state it in a better manner. people come here for help and to learn.
lighten up or you may end up with a small vacation.

To the OP: man, for your safety, and the safety of others, please get a new harness. dont leave the dizzy wired straight to the ecu. wire it in how its supposed to be wired in.
this is a mpfi conversion i believe you stated. look up the diagrams, i believe its been posted here many times. or you can even go to Rywire - Online Store and get all the things you need to make this conversion much much easier and more plug and play.

also, just bc you are getting spark, doesnt mean you are getting the correct amount of fire.
my first swap in an ef, i had fuel, air, spark and compression.
even though i had spark, i still couldnt get it to run. changed the dizzy, and it fired right up. ran perfectly.
you need a power meter to measure if you are getting the correct fire. cant remember if you measure by ohms, or voltage or whatever.

also, its obd-0 i believe, just because the things that give codes are wired correctly, does not mean that everything is wired correctly.

good luck. hope you get it figured out.

i couldnt even begin to think what you would have to check. the wiring in that car is ridiculous.

wait, was this car a Dual Point Fuel Injection (DPFI) engine before you swapped it?
in case you dont know bc the engine wasnt in there, is this an Si? or is it a Dx?

If it was an Si model then you need this:
88 89 90 91 crx civic si engine wiring harness : eBay Motors (item 320572352714 end time Aug-14-10 07:57:04 PDT)
    or
88 89 90 91 crx civic si ex engine wiring harness: eBay Motors (item 120607983299 end time Sep-10-10 22:29:55 PDT)

if this was a Dx or Std model. then you will need whats listed above as well as:
    Rywire - Online Store

im willing to put money on it being a DPFI body. which means either you didnt convert it to MPFI (multi point fuel injection, ie: 4 injectors) or you didnt convert it properly.
also, if you are still OBD-0 then you probably didnt install a resistor box. (cant remember if these are needed on the b series engines, hopefully somebody else does.)

either way, you need to start over on the wiring. and do it properly.
yeah, it may be cheaper to shortcut and do what you did there, but in the long run, it equals out to many many more problems.
