one thing to be weary is that sometimes the store will have different sources or calibrate a tv and not the others. meaning they have TV "A" on sale for $500 and TV "B" at regular price. Then theyll feed TV "A" a shitter source, say DVD, and TV "B" with Blu-Ray and have TV "B" calibrated for color and such. So of course TV "B" is way better, but more expensive and a better margin.

another good spot to shop for TV is amazon. sometimes they have killer deals and for me (CA resident), i can save a buttload on taxes and "environmental recycling-fee."

Picked one up the other day.. Went to HHgregg and got a 32" Hisense it is actually a great tv and has killer sound and picture.. Only costed $279 good deal for a off brand and has a great picture..
