check out this guys add...it's hilarious!!! 1972 chevy nova (very fast)
Decent enough looking car, I really like Novas. But a 350 is not the be all end all. Not by a long shot.
nice car but not fast with a stock 350, 454 on spray.....now thats pretty darn quick.
sweet looking car....doesn't take much to make a 350 very fast...long tube headers/ agressive cam/and head work and you can get that car to 425hp
I'm sure its a fairly quick car, the only humorous thing about it is the memories in the drivers seat line.
Funny how he says it will smash any import on the street, then states he's willing to trade for a Chevy Colbalt SS.
lol 300+ hp..well no shit it is a 350...
its a nice quick car,,but def. wont "smash on any import"
I would love to have raced this fool with my old car.
prolly not that fast, but remember muscle cars back then was way,,way underrated on the hp they put out. some even put out 800+ in stock trim
dang! no way!!
yup, back then when they said this baby makes 400 hp it was more like 700
I'd like to see proof of this, because some of the 60s muscle cars were 350s making 325 hp but would barely make the 1320 in 14 seconds. The 427s that made 425+ I could see being underrated, but not by 400+ hp.
well if i can dig it up ill show you, i remember it was on hod rod tv or nation or some spped channel show like that, and they was having a dyno shoot out with all the big hitters back then the only rule was it had to be bone stock just like it was the day it was made, i remeber the hemi won the event with 800+ the olds came in second with 700+ and i forget the others but ford was in there somewhere. this was on a engine dyno so they was messuring at the motor not the wheels. but anyhow they went on to talk about how crazy under rated they was back then.
and there was lots of stock 60s cars that hit low 13s and 12s in stock trim
The dodge chargers with 426 hemis in the 60s were rated at about 400 hp i think, but put out well over 500... I'm sure others were under rated too...
the problem is they only run 14's. but it's because most are solid steel. those bitches are heavy. laugh if you want, but if you put that engine in a 240sx it would scream.
i found it but every time i click on it it says 404 not found, i have the specs though of what they was suppose to make, i read some ppl are saying that the mopar team cheated lol. but it was speedchannel American Muscle Car: Shootout

I would not give up that nova for a damn cobalt, or an SS...........wiener.
