I had been doing months of reading on H22 swap for 4th gen accords and 5 gen accords OBD1 mostly but I have never really found any detail on using an OBD2 motor in a OBD1 car. I have A 95 ACCORD EX I know right off the bat I can use a p13 ecu only if I get a wire conversion but what about everything else. Do I need to switch fuel injectors other sensors etc. I need to know exactly what to do with this motor to get it run to in my OBD1 car any suggestions guys
The obd1 p13 will plug right in to your 95 Accord with no conversion harness.
Ok did a little more research and determined the following for a OBD2 H22A into a OBD1 car (95 accord). Here what I have
OBD2 engine in a obd1 car
ex. 97+ H22a4 into 90-95 accord
You must get an obd1 ecu, obd1 injectors and obd1 distributor.
Got this info form another tech site but this info is somewhat vague. Hopefully you guys can fill in the gaps.
Here are my questions though which injectors do I use my 95 accord OBD1 injectors or OBD1 92-96 prelude injectors
Do I use a 92-96 prelude distributor or my 95 accord distributor? How hard in this conversion assuming the H22A has an external coil (which I think it does) correct me if I’m wrong please where as my 95 accord has internal.
Exactly what sensors do I need to change can I use my accord Map sensor or do I use the prelude map sensors in there a conversion I must do
