I've been researching 240sx's and they been saying 240sx's are more for cornering and handling. Knowing that do you still think I should get a 240sx or an Acura Integra?

I think Im going to have to go with the Integra simply because if I bought a 240sx I would have to put do an engine swap forsure, plus some others. And I would also have to put on a body kit because I wont like the way looks otherwise, and I think the body kit would slow me down...

Its a very hard decision for me but you guys have been very helpful.

Thanks for all your insight men.

there are NO silvia's in the US.

You sure? I know I saw a black car that said Silvia on the back of it for sale for $6500 about two months ago. I'll take a pic of it next time I go to work.

There are also a lot of Civics with Type Arghhhh in the back

silvia is not nor was ever imported to the USA under the name silvia. The closest we got was the s13 coupe, but it still came with the 180sx front end.

Canada got "Silvia"'s... they were just rebadged 240sx's.

He had one for sale here in town once... bad rod bearing. $500. A buddy of mine bought it, and moved away with it. Oh well. It was a BEAUT! :)

Ok. Maybe it's just a silvia badge on the s13 then.

i chose the eagle talon; turbo ready (i dont know about all the models), available in awd, light, many performance parts available, 2 liter engine.

buy a crx, engine swap and turbo or s2000 and some forced induction both awsome lookin have potential to make it to the 12-13

DeeJay

TT 300ZX already runs 13.9 stock, so I'd go with that. I love the way they handle too, its a great car, my friend has one.

bah, the 300zx's are sleds. they are too fucking heavy. a kid in town has one that put 425 to the wheels, and it runs 13.8s all day long

he must not be able to drive for shit cause my friends stock Z with shitty mufflers ran 13.9 with his beat and everything in the car.

for the way they stand in oem trim and the cost to purchase them I feel the DSM's would be the best option but they are POS in reliablility...

i voted 240sx car can be had for around 1200 sr20det front clip 2-3000 turbo upgrades 1500. now u have a car that runs 12 all day long for 6 grand

the SR20 is not street legal... it will not pass emissions or look... that is if you're looking for a street legal car. If you're not, 240sx... it's cheap and good power.

If you are looking for a street legal car, I'd go with a civic/integra... something that you can stick a B series engine in.

If you don't have a strict budget, I'd go with the new Skyline that they're importing next year :D (you didn't hear it from meh)

.......uh.....

........why would you even think to say that the SR isnt street legal? the SR20 came in the 1990-1996 G20, 1998-2001 G20, 1991-1994 Sentra SE-R, 1991-1993 NX2000, 1995-1998 200SX SE-R, 1998-1999 Sentra SE, and the 2000-2001 Sentra SE's.

and it would only not pass emissions if you facked up something during the install. theres tons of people Here that have done the swap from a non-Sr20de/det car, and have passed the emissions test fine.

Here is the cheapist way to run 12 ,or lower, for cheap.
Dautsun 240
chevy 350
and nos
I hate carberators and NOS but you know what? it works. plus with minimal mods thing thing could be in the 10's.
