if so then why is that?
I'm not from CA, but that's what I heard. The CRV is considered a truck and you can't swap a truck motor into a car.
k, thanks. I was asking b/c I've heard that the laws here in B.C. are going to adopt California standards for vehicles, so I think the 1.8L's will be a safer bet.
just don't get pulled over for anything. have a stock looking car and cops wont harass you.
wouldn't they be able to tell when your car is emissions tested?
It is also illegal to have your car pass inspection when it clearly cannot, but that doesnt stop people from paying 75-100 bucks for a sticker!
All those rulse you have to deal with why I wouldn't want to live in Cali anymore. Lived there for 11 years of my life. The weather in the Oceanside area is absolutely amazing. I remember when it rained it was almost a fun thing. Living in Washington has made the rain annoying.
all swaps are illegal unless you get it BAR'd.. the b20 is unBARable
Haha, that was funny Blanco. Meh it's not so much rules like parental rules, it's more or less just annoying. I'd rather live in the Northwest anyways, less traffic up here too. Not as many road ragers either.
I never thought of it that way. When you put it that way it seems a lot more reasonable.
Once again Blanco has the answer to everything
In MA there is no such thing as the old stickers anymore. Your information is submitted and they print one up for you right out of the machine. Maybe these can be faked I don't know. The days are gone though when it was just a stack of stickers that could be, misplaced.
not that I would ever have taken advantage of the system...
Very true in all aspects of life.
Everything is illegal in California.
not medicinal maryjane
True true. I think the penalty for cutting an Oak tree in Ojai/Ventura is stiffer than for murder. Seriously...
How does emission test work when it comes to aftermarket turbo setups like a boosted LS then? I assume thats still legal in California right?
as long as its a kit sold by a company .. and it has to be smog legal, not all are.. . . only Greddy and Edelbrock as far as i know
see this is why im staying in missouri noone is jumping down your shirt for anything and its not like "big brother is watching" when it comes to cars and motor swaps and stuff like that
