and i live in a city of 60,000.
 
cab ride would cost $20 just to get 15 minutes to the next town
i could ride the shitty rural transportation bus to the "city" i work in, but then how do i get from the bus to my job
that would be a long ass walk, lol
 
The technology to build high efficiency, gasoline, non-electric engines exists. The tooling and transition costs are so high though that there is no incentive for oems to switch.

The same can be said about alternative fuels. The switching costs are so high that there is no incentive. Alternative fuels won't be popular until all the gas is gone...
 
We all know it exists, the problem is, how do they mass produce it for insane profit so that the CEO can buy a second boat and his 4th car and 2nd beach house. It's not worth marketing if you can't retire from it
