Are we forgetting that leaf blowers are self contained? They have their own tank. All you would need is an electric start. Hook the LB throttle to your car throttle. Start it when you need it, shut it down when you don't.

Leafblower > Ebay blower. Ebay blowers are basically the same motors that are found on your A/C or heat blower. Usually 1/8th, or 3/8 hp electrimotors. You're lucky to see 40mph out of them. Big, bad leaf blowers usually can push 200mph (gasoline versions), or slightly less for the electric versions. This is partially due to a better impeller (impeller vs. fan), and better gearing.
