first i have a d15b7 thats cherry, stripped down to be rebuilt but never finished...second i recently acquired a D16y8 recently for cheap and running...and third i have a D16A1 sitting dead in a rusted out integra D15B7 Bottomend D16Y8 Head D16A1 Pistons now the question, has anyone done this build? Should the Y8 gasket be ok or will clearance be an issue?? i can find some info but nothing with all three. just wondering if this is more trouble than its worth but i was going to be dropping the d16y8 in my 92 civic either way cuz my current 1.5 is fucked, so i have to swap out ecu's and i have the 1.5 sitting there so mini-me sounds like a great option..and then i remember hearing something about the d16a1 pistons being high compression and figured i have it all jus sitting there! so why not? right? thoughts? comments? complaints?
