well, obviously the R1 pulls considerably harder. up until 2004 tho, it was said by many experts that the R6 had a track advantage because of its superior handling even though the R1 was faster straight line, the R6 won out in the end. in 2003 not only did they switch over to FI for the R6, but also changed the frame. i think it only has 2 welds now, rather then 14ish. new R1 is bad ass. 365lbs dry i thinks and it has 180hp at the crank. i think i heard like 158 or 162 whp. but its evil. it not only demolishes the R6 in pure power, but it handles better this year. its a monster. R1 is supposedly the badest liter bike right now. as compared to the CBR100RR, GSXR1000, Ninja KX1000R <i dunno if that is the exact model name>, and also against the RC-51 or whatever the other honda was. I'd imagine all these would also include like the TL1000. dunno man, yamaha went off the deep end this year. as much balls as a GSR, minus a lil torque.
