I have a chipped P06 converted to VTEC running Mugen program (VTEC hits @4400 RPM and rev limit 9900) PM sent on price shipped!
A header pin so i can be tuned?
Wouldn't a wideband O2 be more useful.
Or is this header pin allow you to actively retune the chip on the ECU and what else would you need to do it?
The only problem is the guy is most likely running a stock motor, and I have never been font og those ridiculously high rev limiters that people chip and ECU for and sell them to people with stock engines. The stock valvetrain is not meant to rev that high, nor is the compression, much less a camshaft setup there to assist in getting that power the chip was designed for.
I just laugh at the people that buy them and think one day the higher their engine revs the more power it makes. Then destroy their engine doing something stupid.
Most correctly chipped ECU's are NOT based on Mugen or whatever; they're done on a dyno, pass experience, or street with a wideband O2 sensor.
Probably not even a real Mugen anyways; as they did complete ECU work and not just chips.
You can just get it socketed; you can swap out the chips and what not. A socketing kit cost like $20-30 from Moates.net, then Xenocron sells a VTEC conversion kit(or you can send the ECU to Xenocron and he'll do everything).
by the way I didn't see you at the UI meet in Durham on Saturday!
