i'm gonna have to try some music performance shots soon.. since i've been using a better lens.. its all manual, but i'm up for a challenge

Ooh what kind of lens did you get?

Those photos were shot with a 50 1.4 around 2.8-4, all manual focus lol. Mostly because my camera's buggy, and the autofocus doesn't really work anywhere besides sunlight anymore. I'm really needing an upgrade from my well abused K-r, but I'm waiting until Pentax releases their next gen cameras.

i shoot an Olympus E-330, recently picked up an Olympus OM 50mm f/1.8 film lens.. been looking at the OM 28mm f/2.8 film lens, would go with the f/2.0 but its much more expensive.. film lens are so much cheaper for quality glass since everyone uses digital now-a-days

Yeah I still use film lenses. My favorite is a 30 something year old sigma 35-70 2.8-4 i've been using. It's a zoom master series. If you ever spot one on ebay, get it! lol

Yes that's the one. Mine has a slightly different lens barrel, probably just a newer/older version, but the optics are essentially the same. It's an excellent bargain lens. Even wide open it's really sharp, but if you stop down, it's absolutely ridiculous.
(shot with it at F8)

just ordered a Vivatar 28mm f/2.5 on eBay for $35

this lens

macro was done with the 50mm f/1.8 and the full extension tube i picked up.. one of them was all 3 pieces(12,20, 36mm sections totaling 68mm extension).. that leaf w/ the water drop on it was only about an inch wide

and the reason so cheap on the lens is because its a film lens.. requires being ran in manual mode

i love film lenses now.. only thing i'll buy unless i get a super deal on a digital lens
Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 OM - $40
Vivitar 28mm f/2.5 OM - $35
Vivitar AT-21 Ext tubes - $10
OM-4/3 adapter - $10
