i was reading and searching and looking around and i was wondering what is the overall gain of putting a b16a2 head on the B18c1 gsr short block? like HP and torque?

Simply swapping heads will do very little. A B16 head flows better than the GSR, but the GSR in stock form will yield higher compression. The idea of a Poorman's Type R is to mimic a Type R. A Type R head in bare form is a ported B16. So if you port a B16 head, use Type R hardware and stick Type R pistons in the bottom end, you basically have a Type R. High flowing head with high compression.
Hey so if I have a b16 and I port them out 2 a type r and change all internal part 2 a type r ill have
Basically a poor mans type r rite? And how much hp will I ne getting ?

=Sexy. Throw some ARP stuff in the mix and you have a cheap, fast, and reliable motor. Yes, I put the three words together.LS block, VTEC head, P30 pistons.
