I have a fantasy of quitting my job and becoming a long haul truck driver. lol
I think I've almost romanticized the career at this point. As far as $ vs responsibility goes, it's pretty high up there. Get your shit done... good job. I'd bring my cat along for the ride, haha.
I feel this thread going off the rails already so I'll throw my 2 cents in.
I am just waiting for the day I've had enough and just cash all my chips in and vacate the northeast.
I have no idea where I will end up, but I daydream of just getting the F* out of dodge.
My old man always dreamed of dropping it all and becoming a beach bum.
I think everyone has fantasies of ditching all responsibilities and just running away.
For some it translates into a career change, for others it leads to retirement eventually I guess?
One day.....
Buddy of mine splits time between packing parachutes and ski bumming. By the numbers he's one of the smartest guys I know. By fun per day he might be the smartest as well.
I want to find a rich ole lady with a bad cancer cough
If you know one, let me know. Finder's fee and all that.
Just got back from Maui last month.... Many very happy people tending bar never looked so good.
A few random bar conversations in the Florida Keys a few years back and I seriously considered staying.
Once you get married and have kids and a mortgage I suppose it's not as realistic but it seemed pretty awesome when she was talking about it.
I'm eh about actual marriage (paperwork/state etc). I'm cool with co-habitation. I think the gf is over that shtick though.
No intention to have kids. In fact, I've been talking about the snip for years.
Mortgage is also too much commitment for me, haha.
I think I need to go explore the options of an "easier" career, or a bum lifestyle. It may suck, I may regret it, but I'll definitely regret not doing it. IDK. I'm about to leave work 12 hours after I got here. Normal day, no fires to be put out, just long. Certainly don't want to do this for the rest of my life.
