Any dog worth it's kibble would have ripped the throat out of that deer and laid it at it's masters feet.

when i was about 15, we had this bernese mtn dog
it would disappear everyday one winter for about 3 weeks straight
one day we saw the dog dragging a dead deer into the back yard
it turns out the dog had been going everyday to eat some of the deer, and then spend the rest of the day dragging it back to the house
this was no small deer either
the dog had to grab ahold and jerk the deer backwards to drag it

i'm not exactly sure how far she drug the deer but the trail in the snow went on forever into the woods behind the house
i dont think the dog killed it either, prob a hunter that never found the kill
the only dogs by my house that could actually catch a deer were these 2 afghans that lived a couple miles away
