update...for those who DONT care...just did 120 in my D15 powered rex (i/h/e). it was actually easy. had to slow down for upcoming traffic. might have been able to pin the speedo. this morning was able to do 100 up a step long hill on the 241 toll road south. before mods, i could only manage 85.

32mph on my pocket bike :D
havent checked the speed since i switched over to CAM-2 gas

That is insane. You could only manage 85 before mods? What model CRX do you have?

One that came with the D15B2 engine I assume... that sounds about right, because my girlfriend's 88 LX sedan would top out around 85-90. The engine just couldn't pull in enough air. Once I added an intake, it would accelerate all the way through to 100 and more.

i meant 85 up that steep hill. sowwy for the confuzion. :) calesta's right. i have a DX with a D15B2. on a flat road, i could do 110-115 before i had mods.

120mph with my Civic 1.4iS (90HP originally... changed manifold, exhaust, intake..) - in 4th gear.. 6500rpm. Lost speed to some 115mph in 5th gear...

Fastest - 145mph with Audi TT

PS: My 'cruising' speed on open road is ~100-105mph with my Civic :)
PPS: Oh.. almost forgot, I also got speeding ticket for driving 106mph .. also with my Civic :)

I was cruising to work today in 4th gear at about 5.5k doing like 115 according to the speedo. Thats a d15b7. Was running very well, and the car was stable. It had quite a bit more pedal left too.

E36 M3 134 (hit the speed limiter)
Supra TT stock (140-145)

Passenger NASCAR hot laps only 3
passenger Viper GTS ~ 170+ sebring racetrack in Fl
Viper Driver and caravan of 2 NSX's 160 last time glanced at speedo...At those speeds I just prefer to stick my eyes on the road...

BMW X5 4.4 sport 130 and still had a ways to go... :D one of the smoothest cars at that speed its almost scary

ive hit 142mph in my civic vti(b16a2) that was scarythe wind was gonna blow me off the road was shittin it :( ,ive been a subaru impreza wrx hittin 155mph he was gonna carry on could have got to 160mph i told him to slow down cause a car was in the distance for some reason hittin 155 in the impreza was not as scary as hittin 142 in my civic

I've topped at 115 in my Escort, at 6800 rpm in 4th gear. if the road was flat enough I'm sure I could peg the speedometer at 125. But these highways are too hilly. (with too many cops around)

Well here is a little something that happen to me about toping out my car. I go to work about a week ago and the top boss goes to me,

Him "Collin, how many tickets and accidents have you had"
me: "One, but for 5 over and no accidents"
Him "wow, your luckey, collin, you really need to slow down"
Me thinking: When the fuck did I speed around work? Also thinking that he might be talking about me driving golf carts (i work at a golf course) and I do kinda drive them hard (get them on 2 wheels at least once a day)
Him, "You got to slow down before you hurt someone or your self"
Me, "Alright, I'll try to keep tabs on my speed"

Later in the week other boss goes to me

him "Hey collin, Kevin (the big boss) tells me you have like 5 tickets"
Me: "nope I only have one and it was a very small one"
Him, "Oh, he said that one day when He was going down the highway, you zip past him like he was standing still"

Opps, passed boss at 120 mph, not good lol.

:cliffs:

Pass boss at 120, then hear about it at work
