train?
That's not true, atleast in the Marines. Your physical fitness directly reflects on your cutting score and ability to get promoted, and I know several Marines who where seperated because they got fat and couldn't pass a PFT. But before they get kicked out they ussually get put on a program to get them back into shape. "Remedial PT." Marines PT 3 days a week, That might be a 3-9 mile run, strength training, going through an obstacle course, ect. A Marine on Remedial PT might do that EVERY DAY except for the weekends where he or she is off. And there NCO will probably be watching what they eat in the chow hall.
Now what kind of sense does that make???18 for beer and wine and 21 for hard liquors
i hate to break it to you son, if you haven't gone to boot camp yet, you aren't "in" the marines.im 17 and in the U.S.M.C.
for everyone that doesnt know what that is
its the MARINES
anyway i leave for bootcamp july 7th
and i agree with most of the guys on here
that drinking for military personel
should be able to drink on base ONLY
drunk military personel do not mix with civis
its just a bad combination
Because with more responsibility, (willing to get blown up for your country) comes more privilege (drinking at 18).There are few requirements to get blown up or to blow people up, you just need to sign up and go. Why should you have to be in the service to drink when there are no requirements to join the service that would have anything to do with your ability to handle alcohol?
