Washed and started a cut and buff off the exterior.

    Spent a few hours on this puppy, got some killer results! I used a rubbing compound to remove the oxidation, then a cleaning wax to remove whatever i left behind with the compound. Then i used a heavy carnuba wax to finish it up.

    Not bad for about 2 hours. I did the entire roof, and both pillars front to back so far.

    well...

    doing it with a machine = chance of burning through
    doing it by hand = little to zero chance of burning through.

    i just wanted to take off what was on top and make it smooth :)

    yeah, depends on the compound and machine being used. pad as well.

    i will never ever do a car again without my buffer

    keep it low revs and moving and you won't burn through

    looks good though...
    only 8 hours to go :)

    I've burned paint off before. I turned around for a plit second and hit a fender flare annnnd brrrrrrpppp! :lol: went straight done to the primer in less than a second.

    other than that as long as you paying attention to speed, area and the time in that area you;ll be good. :)
