    2HG = made in Canada by Honda, and it's a passenger car.
    EJ6 = Civic 2/3/4 Door 1.6L
    3 = Hatchback?
    4 = Since it was swapped, it probably started life as a DX
    9 = check digit
    T = 1996
    H = Made at the Alliston Ontario Canada plant
    1 = first number in serial number

    You can't tell just by looking at it? Have all the badges been removed? Just look on your registration card, it should be printed on there...

    As for the motor, have you considered doing an LS/VTEC or just putting a turbo setup onto the LS motor you already have?
