I'd tell him that it's really a waste of money, but I wouldn't FORCE him to do anything about it. I'd encourage him to be his own person. If it was MY kid, at least he wouldn't be a total fucktard. He'd know what the performance side is all about, and if he owns the car, it's up to him to decide what to do with it. All of you would make terrible parents.
