I'd love evidence of the tire that will last forever and is capable of meeting the wants and needs of what the general public demand, because I've heard claims of this but have never seen evidence.
Likewise, I'd love evidence that shows that there was the infrastructure to support a vehicle that ran off of corn oil and that the technology could have been implimented, *in a cost effective manner*, at the time of said development. I don't see it happening. If it were possible and was cheaper at the time, then the person would have marketed the hell out of the technology and ran the oil companies out of business.
Just as now, if someone has a legitimate solution that can be produced on a widescale basis and solve our current problems, they would be making a fortune.
