Why would 'they' go home? There's already no passport or anything else needed to go in and out of the mainland to the island, as it is a territory. They simply currently do not have voting rights, nor pay federal taxes, nor really have any services provided to them other than the 'protection' of the nation for their island should things go bad.
I think you'll also find the ones that are in the northeast are a small representation of what type of people are there. I think steve made a smiliar remark about black people in the north vs the south being different. Hell even white people in the north vs the south are different. The north just seems to attract the worst of the worst for some reason, and I don't know why. It's wrong to stereotype a country of people based on the few bad exports that made their way into your white hood.
