So what's the resolution on this? lol

Today was payday, unfortunately it's also like -20 outside so I can't, well, won't, be doing anything with cars right now. This week is supposed to be brutally cold. Wind chills near -40. Fuck my luck. I was hoping to get the blazer jumped and to my house until I can mess with it and a cheap batt for the prix and take it for a spin to see of the coolant issue is more serious than just the cap.

Now that the girlfriend is working some of the financial responsibilities will fall back on her so I can get something going, then the weather turns to garbage.

lol and stay positive and just going and getting the blazer is a good idea and fack it if blazer is free that means you really could still buy the pontiac if wanted and trust me its going to be more than a radiator cap the 3300 3400 and 3800 motors are stupid common to head gasket issues and have plastic fittings on the bottom side of the intake manifold on the runners that are bad about cracking and dumping coolant , once its been run hot a time or two RIP headgaskets

Who do you have for cell phone service? I have AT&T, you can add roadside assistance for $2.99/month. You can add one month (don't forget to cancel it) and have it towed to your house for $3. If you know anybody with AT&T, they can also do it. It doesn't have to be the actual owner of the vehicle with the service.

nice pro tip

I have jumpers and an air compressor, it's just finding the time and ability to not freeze to death to do it.

Uh, you wouldn't pay $3 to have it done by someone else...today...and not mess with it? Hell, I'd pay you the $3 just to end this thread. :lmao:

Haven't been on in awhile. battery in. New cap on. The prix is in my driveway. It's a piece of shit. But it's mine now. Now that it's warming up, I'll be going to get the blazer this weekend.

Now that I have it in my driveway I can fuck around with it. Someone put the wrong coolant in it. Flush time!

theres stupid amount of decent stuff there for the picking

Back in 2001-ish, I was at the track and saw a salmon colored Probe turbo beat an R32 in a 1/4 mile. lol

Just seeing an R32 in Utah was rare enough, but to watch it got crushed by a Probe was pretty funny.

I had a probe turbo, similar year plus or minus.
I beat the shit out of that car. Same transmission problem too. Came with a slight problem, ended up being the first car I put a tranny in.
Needed a shot of ether on those cold NY winters to get started. Good times back in the day.
