I'm thinking about this del sol. tell me what you guys think and what a fair price would be. haven't bought it or drove it yet. just talked to the guy a couple times.

id go higher then 4 depending on the shape of the car. detailed pics of interior and engine might help.

looks pretty clean though, and should be pretty damn fast.
id pay at least 5 for it, maybe 6 if it was rust free and the interior was perfect.

yeah you live by me here in the NW, I'd offer him 5k cash in hand if you really want it I personally think it is well worth it but I don't have 5k. the body is straight paint looks good and it has an h22, test drive it see how it drives chances are you'll love it.

the pictures kind of suck but it looks like a clean car. take it for a test drive and make sure its good to go. if you like it offer the guy around $5k for it. good luck man

pull a compression test
if it pulls below 200psi per cylinder offer him 3500
if it pushes 225psi per cylinder than perhaps 4500

Well, if you were looking at the car in the eyes of my sister's stupid boyfriend, that car would be worth 8k at least. He conned my sister into buying a previously "raced" del sol aka beat, for 4k. Not to mention the body is dinged up to shit and it has a rebuilt title.

Sorry its off topic, but I hate people that think they know everything about cars, but can't tell the difference between coolant and tranny fluid

5k sounds good, if the motor is in good shape.

I like del sols with ek front ends looks way better than stock and IMO way better than a body kit
