What's up guys, I have some questions that I need answers to pretty quick.
I have an 86' civic that is in impecable condition but, it has been neglected in the engine car department. Now, I have a 91' Cvc EX with the original block and a V-TEC D16Y8 head on it and I was wanting to know if it would be too much of a hassle to swap the motor out or should I just stick with what I got and try to fix it.
I know that the tranny from the EW will not bolt onto the D but, I can easily get my hands on a trans from and CRX. I dont want to go with a ZC or a B-series, and tthe reason is that I don't have either one of these and I don't have a lot of money.
If there is anyone that can give me some insight as to what I am trying to accomplish I would really appreciate it.
I would also need to know if I need anything else extra; such as: axles, hub assemblies, tranny linkage, or any certain electrical connectors that would need to be spliced it would really help me out.
So if ya'll could scratch your heads and give me a helping hand, or just wish me luck, I would really appreciate the help.
P.S.- I will be putting pics of the entire event from begining to end up for all to see. But, it's going to be at least a month or until the current motor gives out.
