go to rywire and see if they have one for this i bought a obd2b 8 pin adapter to work with a obd1 distributor so im pretty sure its possible. good luck

ok friend has a d16y7 in a 97 civic ek (auto) wants to do swap what will be needed? some 1 locally is selling the motor auto trans ecu wire harness with the swamp for 400... so what will i need to complete the swap i know i need axle i dont believe my old ones work... so what else? i believe...

this is weird and im going from a 10 pin obd1 to a 8 pin obd2b so nothing to do with 96-98.. wich makes it harder i think ima give up and just buy a y8 dont wana buy a oil pump if im not sure it will work..:o

go to rywire.com they have them there hopefully what u need. i got a obd2 to obd1 dizzy plug from there being shipped atm!

ok i have both motors out side by side the motor would not start when i did the swap so i took it out again this time adding the crank sensor but on my 95 ex motor d16z6 it dose not have the bolts for the sensor nor the thing bolt hole for the crank sensor now look at the pics below my y8 block...

i have a d16z6 block. i dont have another place to wire the blue speed cable i dont have a p28 ecu i want to keep it obd2 i also already ordered the dizzy harness from rywire so yeah um lol yeah well ima wait and take the motor out again add the crank sensor and wait for a nother dizzy and...

im running the stock ecu the car came with wich is the obd2b harness since its a 99 and a it was a stock y8 head on it not sure how to tell wich ecu it is its confusing lol i can find out if u want. but yeah i mean im keeping the obd1 motor obd2b

this is weird because i will unplug the dizzy cable and it seems to work just fine.

ahh i will have to look at that mine is a 99 so the it is obd2b not obd2a so would i still check the white wires? i left the blue one unplugged wich is engine speed on the obd1 i believe correct me if im wrong. do you know if i will need a crank sensor?
