how do you run such high CR? i just did a swap with 12.2:1 in my sohc vtec and it was knocking bad at 1300 rpm. it had a chipped ecu that ran rich and thats it. adjusting the ignition timing made no difference.
yeah i left the little one just dangling too and it kept reving like your talking about. then when i hooked it up the the small one all the way to the right side of the IM(looking head on) everything seeemed to work good and my idle is 700 and steady. its real small and stretches the hose all...

I just removed my power steering unit, the pump, reservoir, and belt. Should i have left the reservoir with fluid in it or was it ok that its removed. i connected the hoses together so it is still a closed system and no air aor moisture can get in but there isnt any fluid in the system. is...
i heard when you chip p28's, the programs run extremely rich. how much would all of this affect your gas mileage in regular everyday driving? also how much does this running too rich all the time have any affect on the performance and can it eventually ruin a motor? thanks
im getting an LS 5th gear synchro and putting it in my b16 tranny for obvious reasons. how do i do this and should i even bother doing it myself or take it to the pros? has anyone on this board done it and if you have how did you like it? also if you know any tech articles on tranny...

will a VAFC or a AFC help at all with the whole running rich part. or am i just better off running a VAFC on a stock p28 instead of getting the chip? and no im not going DFI or hondata, funds are not there yet and need ecu for my swap.
i decided to take the cheap way out and bought one of those "mugen" chips from ebay, yeah i know mugen dont make those, anyway, do those chip programs actually change the program of the ecu to read differently. Since some call it "reprogramming" the ecu and others just add a chip. Is there a...
