15s or 16s...

16s for a few reasons...

Bigger brakes

Better brake cooling

Wider tires while still being closer to stock rolling diameter

And here's where I speculate... less weight. Sure, 15" wheels weigh less than 16" wheels, BUT... everyone forgets the tires. Tires are fucking heavy. They're also at the outermost part of the radius, where weight matters most. Less rubber = less weight. However, this may be offset by the wider tire, but you still have three other great reasons for 16s.

dude, 15's are all round a better performance package anyway u look at it, more sidewall, better accel, the only thing is doesnt have is the "bling" factor, which is mad gay cause u drive a fucking race car, u dont need bling on a race car. i dont care how much "power u have" 15's will always outperform 16's. ( my friend has an 11 second ef civic, had 16's hated them, got cheap ass 15's on crappy rubber andloves them.)

16s all the way. Not only better for your application, they will look better. what is 160$ more? nothin really.


edit : sleeper.... uhh, the size of the sidewall isn't the factor, it's the stiffness of the sidewall.. and 16s have a bigger contact path with the road. So, no, 15s are not always better than 16s. And the R16s have a better speed rating. What the fuck are you talking about? And your friend who thinks his "15s with crappy rubber" are better than 16s is an idiot. That has nothing to do with it. Not to mention Anyone with an 11 second car can't run "crappy rubber" and even be able to drive the car. :roll:

I don't think you could a very good contact patch runnin on bare rims

hey B! dude if you aint worried about wheel weight, i say go with the 16's cause they are gonna look nicer...and for only $10 more a wheel..you can't beat that!

note in the first post he specified "this is a street car"

my friend has an 11 second ef civic, had 16's hated them, got cheap ass 15's on crappy rubber andloves them.)


if he has a 11 sec car and is on crappy rubber then he is the uber-noob

get the 16's for sure..15's look weak and you would have an easier time selling the car when/if you decide to :thumbsup:
