1994 honda accord temp gage

I have a 1994 Honda Accord which I purchased new. I now have 141,000 miles and it runs like the day I purchased it. My only problem is, the temp gae goes to high when ever I turn the car on and will remained in that position until I turn the car off; even in the winter. I have no overheating problems. Any suggestions where to start looking?

Check your coolant temperature sensor.

On a d motor its under distributor don't know about f motors. Also check your ecu if its throwing any codes.
