i have about 3g's to spend on building up a ls/vtec(i can probally use more but i need money for other things). i thought about the b20 but the ls is cheaper to resleeve($100 less then b20). this is all-motor.

heres what i have:

golden eagle sleeves(85mm)....$750
IB Spec Super Duper Pistons(85mm).....$565
Hondata S200..........$295
STR cam gears.......$225
CTR Camshafts.......$350
Portflow Valvesprings and Ti retainers.....$320
Ferrea Comp. Plus Valves(stock size).......$320
Portflow valve guides............$80
Shotpeen the stock rods........~$70

If you're going to resleeve, just use the cheaper block. It won't matter if it was a B20 if you're just going to resleeve and pick your new bore.

As for everything else, it looks good- if those are the parts you want to use.

just keep in mind, that the s200 base system won't get you very far... so factor in dyno time + tuner costs.

will it be cheaper to use a piggy back system with the stock ecu and then upgrade later?

Facter in another 200 or so for a valve job
like b said, all your tuning costs,
a few hundred more for new timing belt, water pump, upgraded oil pump (p73), gaskets, and bearings.
plus probably another couple hundred for miscellaneous other crap you are gonna forget about during the build. other than that, sounds good.

short term- yes
long term, no, because you will have bough tpiggy back shit, and then STILL need everything you would have in the first place.
