diff pin grenaded in tranmission and locked up and took engine with it, cruising in 5th on the highway, 89 problems , 90+ uses different diff and went from cable to rod shifter, buying a beater altima tomorrow and then putting another engine/trans in the sho
There are just so many other points of failure, it surprises me the clutch didn't just slip like a mofo, or your input shaft didn't just sheer splines or your transmission didn't just abort itself.
come to find out I only slung a rod through the block and cracked the bell-housing , soo the differential did not grenade soo im taking my gear set out and throwing them in a different case with the good aftermarket differential and HOPEFULLY it will work lol now to just find a engine, hoping to scoop up a 3.2 out of a automatic car
Meh if it was a 90/91 dash id take it out but this one has no airbags or anything im going to leave it, only interior is front door panels, center console and corbeau seats, got a lead on a cammed 3.0 in SC for $700
just waiting on my seat rails to come in for the Corbeaus , still stuff to remove and give a good cleaning
and lol might be going to Illinois to buy this turdbox for $400 as a good parts car for the long block and spare 5 speed trans , and then scrap it after I take what I want and get my money back
I also think before I put the next engine in im obv going to do rod bearings and timing belt/water pump and whatever misc gaskets/seals needed but I do believe im going to take the time to clean up the engine bay and paint up the engine all nice and what not - gay oil cap
